What is a Tweakment?

In the last couple of years we’ve seen the emergence of the “tweakment” trend. It seems that lately what many people are looking for are ways in which they can improve on things about themselves that they’re not crazy about, but without necessarily having to undergo surgery. They want to enhance their look, but they want it to look natural and they still want to look and feel like themselves. Not a massive transformation, but a little tweak here and there.

At The Plastic Surgery Clinic we love the natural look. Whether you’re coming in for a surgery or for a non-surgical treatment, we always want to give you the most natural, beautiful looking result. It’s what we do. So if anyone understands the desire for the tweakment more than anyone, it’s definitely us.

What is a tweakment?

A tweakment is a play on the words “tweak” and “treatment” and basically refers to primarily non-surgical, minimally invasive treatments, that can really enhance your look but in a very subtle and natural way. So when we’re talking about tweakments, we’re usually referring to treatments like Botox, facial fillers and lip fillers, facial peels and microneedling treatments, amongst others.

But tweakments can also include less involved surgical procedures like a mini facelift or cellulite treatments like Cellfina, which make a big difference but in a subtle way, as opposed to a major surgical transformation like the Brazilian Butt Lift.

That said, if we’re talking tweakments, the cosmetic industry has come a long way in what kinds of treatments it can offer in this department. Treatments like CoolSculpting and BodyTite can permanently eliminate unwanted pockets of stubborn fat without the need for liposuction for instance, or tighten lax and sagging skin without having to undergo a tummy tuck.

The important thing to keep in mind with the tweakment though is the emphasis on subtlety, meaning that although these treatments can make a huge overall difference, in this case we are looking for small transformations. So when we’re talking lip fillers, we’re adding a little volume to your lip to give you that fuller more hydrated look. When we’re talking about fat elimination, we’re talking small amounts of fat, like those love handles or the bra roll.

Tweakments won’t transform your look as dramatically as more involved surgical procedures will, but that’s exactly what a lot of people like about them.

Is a tweakment for you?

Tweakments are great for anyone looking to do just that, tweak, slightly change, enhance, or improve on something that’s bothering them. So if you’re looking to combat those fine lines and wrinkles, or eliminate those crow’s feet then Botox might be the tweakment for you.

Maybe you’re looking for more volume in certain areas of the face or to rejuvenate the skin on your hands, neck, and décolleté, then you might want to consider dermal fillers or microneedling beauty booster treatments.

It’s really never too early or too late to start with tweakments, the most important thing is to find the right tweakment for you, and that’s going to give you the results that you’re looking to achieve. So this could be one treatment, or a combination of treatments.

Our hottest new treatments for tweakments

At MD Beauty Clinic, the non-surgical side of our practice, we launched a number of amazing new treatments that might be just the tweakment that you’re looking for.

Thread Lift

Like we’ve said before, the cosmetic industry has come a long way in expanding on treatments that can be considered tweakments. The thread lift is just one of these amazing treatments, where PDO threads are inserted just below the surface of the skin in order to lift the skin adding contour and definition to areas like the cheeks, jowls, and jawline, but also in areas around the nose, eyebrows and temples. The thread lift is exactly the type of treatment that can make such a big difference, but also keeps you looking like you.

FaceTite, BodyTite & AccuTite

And if we’re talking about seriously revolutionary treatments for beautiful enhancement, FaceTite, BodyTite & AccuTite are non-surgical face and body tightening and contouring treatments that result in a 70% reduction in tissue and improvement to the tightness of the skin. Using sub-dermal radiofrequency heat, these treatments can target any area of the face and body, even the smallest most delicate areas such as the eyelids, smile lines, and nasolabial folds. These treatments can also be combined with radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL) in order to eliminate small pockets of unwanted fat.

Morpheus8

We love this treatment for pretty much everything because it can do so so much. Morpheus8 combines radiofrequency heat with microneedling to address a variety of skin concerns like improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, treating hyperpigmentation, combatting acne (an absolutely amazing treatment for acne and acne scarring), and smoothing out uneven skin texture and tone. It’s also a skin tightening and remodeling treatment, and can even eliminate small amounts of fat. Truly amazing. And a perfect tweakment for anyone looking for an airbrushed and glowing quality to their skin.
