Dr. Lista Talks to Deep Body Magazine About Reasonable Expectations
January 28, 2014
Dr. Lista’s POV
We’ve been seeing a lot of stories in the news lately about people seeking out plastic surgery in order to look more like certain celebrities, from Kate Winslet to Justin Bieber. But when you have expectations to look like someone else using cosmetic surgery, you’re really only setting yourself up for disappointment after the fact. My best advice? Always aspire to look like the best version of yourself. It’s not about comparing yourself to anyone else or emulating the look of someone famous. It’s about making the most of who you are, feeling great about yourself, and knowing how confident you can be in your own skin.
About the Article
Dr. Lista recently spoke with Elaine Zlotkowski at Deep Body magazine about the importance of reasonable expectations for people who are considering cosmetic surgery. As Dr. Lista explains, “patients with realistic expectations are always happier and more satisfied with their plastic surgery than patients who expect to look like someone they never were.” He discusses how The Plastic Surgery Clinic’s philosophy of providing the most natural results possible factors into the discussions he has with patients about their goals for plastic surgery. What should be done in order to ensure a totally satisfying result after a cosmetic surgery operation such as breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, or facelift?
