Our Favourite Celebrity Nose Job Stories

We love our celebrities. They just have that thing, that something about them, a glow, something magnetic that draws us in. And even though they are basically always perfect and stunning when they face the world, we love them even more when they show a little imperfection, when they show us that, you know, they’re human, just like us.

Here at The Plastic Surgery Clinic we especially love those celebrities that demystify cosmetic surgery—the ones that aren’t afraid to admit that they had a breast augmentation, a facelift, Botox or fillers, and one of our all time favourites, a nose job.

Rhinoplasty is one of the most common and popular procedures in cosmetic surgery and when performed by an expert plastic surgeon, the results are fantastic. What is so special about rhinoplasty is that while the results can be amazing and transformative, they can also be subtle and really natural looking. That’s why we love it when celebrities talk about their rhinoplasty procedures, showing us they too have wanted to make a few little tweaks, and to know that they’ve had a little help to get a pretty flawless-looking nose, even though it looks like they were born with it.

It can be kind of hard to imagine what your nose will look like exactly after rhinoplasty, and that’s why before and after pictures really help. Your result won’t be identical to the photos you see but they’ll give you a really good idea of what we’re talking about. So with that in mind, we thought it might be fun to take a look at some celeb nose job before and after stories to see the difference it made to their look.

Tyra Banks

Ok, Tyra Banks is absolutely stunning, both before and after. We love how honest she’s been about her looks and where she’s felt she needed to make some small changes to feel her absolute best.

“I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching. I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth. Fix it or flaunt it — I think women should be able to do both. There is a boundary line, either you’re super-natural or you live at the plastic surgeon. It’s okay to hop back and forth over that line. You want a hair weave? Fine. You want permanent eyebrows? Fine. We as women need to stop judging.”

We really love how she supports other women in their choices.

The work that was done on Tyra’s nose is actually quite stunning and is noticeable but still super subtle. If you look at some of her before and afters, you can see that the size of her nose was significantly reduced, and that the span of the nostrils was also probably changed making her nose much more proportional with the rest of her beautiful face.

Jennifer Aniston

We all love OG Friend Jen Aniston. But she has been shy about admitting whether or not she’s had any cosmetic surgery done. That’s why we know it probably took quite a bit of courage for her to talk about undergoing a rhinoplasty procedure in order to correct a deviated septum.

While technically Jen’s surgery was a functional rhinoplasty as opposed to cosmetic we still thought it might be interesting to talk about her transformation. We really believe that there is no shame in having had a surgical procedure in order to correct or improve something on your body whether it be for aesthetic reasons or functional ones, or hey, why not both?

And we are also totally on board if you are someone like Jen who prefers to keep her private matters to herself. That’s the great thing about achieving a natural result: it’s entirely your decision if you want to talk about it or not. Because otherwise, no one will really be able to tell what you’ve had done. But if you’re open to sharing certain things, sometimes it can go a long way in helping someone else make a really big decision.

What we love about Jen’s nose job is that it’s actually so so subtle. If she hadn’t admitted to it herself we would probably never know. And again that is thanks to the expertise of her plastic surgeon. All she/he did was really just enhance Aniston’s already beautiful nose and perhaps really ever so slightly change the angle between her nose and her lips, while also making it easier for her to breathe.

Ryan Gosling

Let’s not forget about the men out there. Cosmetic surgery has benefitted men as much as it has benefitted women, although (at least in the celeb world) they may be a little more hesitant to admit that they had something done.

Although he hasn’t admitted to it, photos would suggest that Ryan Gosling may have had rhinoplasty surgery at some point.

If you take a look at some of his before and afters, it appears that Ryan initially had a somewhat more crooked nose with a hooked tip and a slight bump on the bridge, which are concerns many of our rhinoplasty patients are interested in addressing. And while he still looked super handsome with that nose, in his after photos you can see that the bridge of his nose looks straighter and the tip looks very subtly refined, giving him a more youthful and overall symmetrical face.

Either way, he looks great and exudes confidence.

Camila Coelho

Perhaps lesser known on this list, gorgeous Brazilian blogger and influencer Camila Coelho has been super candid about her nose job experience (and we can’t talk celebs without mentioning the newest genre, social media stars). Camila’s face looks stunning before and after, so it may be hard to believe she wanted a nose job. But like many of our patients, she just really wanted one for a long time and she talks super candidly about it here.

Camila wanted to feel confident without make-up on, and her nose was something that always bothered her. She wanted a nose that was narrower and that would give her a more gentle and feminine look, but she stresses that she wanted it to be natural. She still wanted to look like herself, which we think is the best kind of result.

The interesting thing about this new trend that we’re seeing with both celebrities and influencers alike is that many of them are building their brands on their face, their appearance, and on being more confessional about who they truly are, especially on their social profiles. The more they post about themselves, the more familiar their features become to their audience.

Unlike in the past when we would only occasionally see these faces in movies or in paparazzi shots, now we’re actually getting to see before and afters all the time while we’re scrolling our Instagram feeds and following the daily lives of our favourite stars and influencers. It seems like this might be encouraging more of them to talk more candidly about the treatments and procedures they’re having to achieve these changes, and we love it.

Whether you want to play with your look with temporary non-surgical treatments, or finally take the plunge to change something that’s been bothering you forever with cosmetic surgery, there’s no shame in doing what’s right for you. And hey, the best-looking, most confident people on earth are doing the same, because we all just want to look and feel as amazing as we are.
